Online map of website for wire magazine

To demonstrate an example of how a website with links works I created a diagram which shows the links as to how wire magazine works and I have described what each sections purpose is

The article: The article is the primary content for the website. Readers primarily go to the website for articles as they want to go the website to consume the articles. Articles can be accessed from all of the sections on various topics.

Wire Magazine homepage:

Wire magazines homepage is the first page a reader will be on when they visit the website. On the homepage you can access the main sections, the most popular articles on the website and the online store.

Online store: Where readers can purchase wire magazine in a digital or physical format. Serves as a means of distribution on the internet. Also creates convergence as website readers will be directed into buying the magazine by a call to action (for instance you can subscribe to wire for £2.50 a month to access all of their magazines)

Main sections: these are for if you are looking for a certain type of article or service on the website and each main section will have slightly different type of articles or content. For instance if you want to read a news story you could go to the news section but if you would rather watch a video then you can go to the video section. This means you can access content of a certain type but also still has a wide range of things to access.

Subsections: This is another section but instead for the main sections this means if a reader wants a very specific type of content then they can access it using the subsections. For instance if a reader was looking for a column they can click on that or if they want an interview they can click on that subsections as well. This means the consumer can be satisfied no matter what they are looking for
