My target audience are what can be said as an BC, 'scenester', fun-loving, audience demographic who also happen to like alternative/underground music. I am going to attract this audience by displaying on my magazine that the artists I am featuring are cutting edge, exciting underground, contemporary artists. This will attract this audience because this audience because since they are searching for fun, if they can find out fun artists which they've never heard of before then this will interest them into looking at the magazine. I will also display on the magazine "5 places in London where you can find fresh underground artists" this will interest that demographic because they will want to find places that interest them so they can have fun.
My location plan for the first magazine cover shall be indoors, on a minimalist backdrop. I will do this so I can make use better artificial lighting techniques such as using back lighting and be able to make it look more visually striking to the reader. To contrast this the second Photo will be outdoors (likely in a "arty" city such as Bristol) and will be able to make much better use of natural light and will be much more brighter in contrast to the first picture which will look a lot more darker.
I plan to use one camera, a dark pink backdrop, a wide array of lights, pink and purple gobos to affect the colour of the lighter. Most of this equipment will be used for the first cover which I will try to use the lighting to recreate the underground vaporwave aesthetic which mainly involves contrasting pink and dark purple on darker backdrops. Hopefully by using the colours and the lighting I will be able to fully recreate this aesthetic to reflect the artists links to the genre.
I don't plan to have many crew. I plan for one of the covers to have me directing the shoot and instead have a photographer who knows a bit more about cameras than me, additionally I shall have an assistant to help me carry equipment and help with lighting but for the outdoor shoot I plan to take the photos myself, apart from that I don't plan to have any other crew on site as of right now.
